I'm sure we all know now that the decision this year is simply one up one down. Daventry Utd (2nd) will come up, Potton (2nd bottom) will go down. This means that Peterborough Northern Star (Div 1 runaway champs) do not go up because they completed ground improvements just one week after the deadline! meanwhile, certain clubs, that make no attempt to upgrade stay in the Prem. Potton go down as the lowest placed side that don't meet ground grading requirements, a lot of people are surprised by that! And what about all that huff and puff at S&L on 25 April about doing something about S&Ls failure to do anything!? Clubs in the Prem who have put a lot of work and money into ground imrovements now know that they needn't have bothered! Isn't it time the UCL grew a pair of balls?

It makes the mockery of the Fa Ground Reg rules! I think if SL hadn't won the prem they would have been relegated! I wonder if they will make any attempts to up grade their ground this year!

Must correct my hasty comments above. It is now clear that the UCL wanted demote the club whose ground was worse with respect ground rules (which would've been S&L), they were ordered by the FA to relegate the side which finished lowest and did not come up to regs. Potton finished 2nd from bottom. I am sorry about the hasty comments I made above as I know that the UCL committee are frustrated by S&L's failure to make any attempt to upgrade. Compare that with Peterborough Northern Star, who missed deadline by just one week but can't come up and you have to question whether the FA have got this quite right!
