A Darren Lynch hat trick inspired the Swans to a big home win.
The Newport top scorer struck after 9 and 23 minutes to put his side in interval control.
Three goals in twelve second half minutes completed the home tally.
Desborough produced a good save out of Bruce from a shot on the edge of the area. Then later another chance was neatly saved by the Aussie keeper.
Rob Tapp scored number three six minutes past the hour mark with Vinny Shrieves making it four twenty minutes from time.
Lynch completed his hat trick after 78 minutes.
It could have been worse for Desborough as Darren Lynch, Vinny and Daren dykes missed a couple of chances.
Desborough rarely threatened in the second half.
