Newport Pagnell Town 0 Irchester United 0

Newport's tenure of top slot proved short lived as their potent attack drew a blank for the first time in 25 league matches.
A draw was a positive result for a Romans side which had lost three of its previous five games.
There was limited chances in the first half for both sides. The only chance the Romans had was a nice passing move which found the Irchester forward in space just inside the penalty area. The resulting shot was blasted over the cross bar.
The Swans had three good chances missed, the first was sliced on the six yard box by Liam Smyth and the second was at a distance powered over the cross bar by Vinny Shrieves. dykes had the third chances when he received a cross just behind on himself, he managed to get a looping shot in which just floated over the cross bar.
The second half opened out a tad with both sides missing chances, the Swans missing more than the Romans.
The Romans had three good chances, a clear header wide of the mark, a sliced shot from the side and then a great save was pulled out by our Young Keeper Jack Bridges to deny Irchester the lead.
The Swans did score when Darren Lynch rose above the keeper to head into the net but he was adjudged to have fouled the keeper. Looked OK to us as he got to the ball first and there was minimal contact with the keeper afterwards.
Jordan Spruce then later tested the Irchester keeper and so did Darren Lynch when his edge of the area shot was equally well saved.
Then Daniel Nti scored but once again it was ruled out, this time by the linesman for offside. We were stood dead inline and he was clearly onside.
But it wasn’t to be The Swans evening and a blank a piece it was to be.
