For the second game running Newport loose a two goal advantage after a Saints fight back.
The Saints had the better of the opening stages with will Fordham unlucky not to open the scoring with a powerful header from a Lewis Hilliard corner which drew a fine tip over from Swans keeper James Broadbent.
The home side were stunned by Newport's 22nd minute opener. Sean McBride firing home a snap shot from 20 yards after the home defence failed to clear a throw.
Then three minutes later the league's leading scorers Daren dykes left Luke McShane helpless with a great 25 yard strike.
The swans almost added a third when Darren Lynches shot just went wide of the mark.
The Saints were back in the hunt after 36 minutes when a Theo Davis through ball saw Stefan Moore outpace the defence and lob advancing keeper Broadbent.
McShane tipped away a powerful header from Vinny Shrieves before St Neots levelled three minutes before the break. Dan Jacob found Stefan Moore who rounded the keeper and slid the ball just inside the far post from a difficult angle.
A lively end to the half saw Junior Kanudu have a shot blocked on the line while at the other end Davis made a saving tackle to thwart Darren Lynch.
After an even start to the first half St Neots took a 59th minute lead. Fordham's quickly taken free kick found Stefan Moore with his back to goal and his overhead kick found Dallas Moore to slot home at the far post.
The home advantage was extended after seventy minutes when Jacob's cross saw Stefan Moore slip the ball into the path of substitute Kieran Davies who fired into the roof of the net.
With a quarter of an hour remaining the points were sealed by a 30 yard strike from Jacob.
The home side's evening was spoiled twelve minutes from time when Stefan Moore was red carded after a tussle with Newporet defender Rob Tapp. Stefan Moore elbow on Rob Tapp made sure he saw red. Unfiortunatly Rob Tapp was boo’d and called a cheat for the rest of the game which was a shame. An elbow is a red card?
Despite pressure from Newport it was too late for the Swans to capitalise on their man advantage although McShane needed to be at his best to keep out a dykes header from a corner while Newport substitute Jordan Spruce was narrowly off target with a dipping free kick late on.
St Neots: Luke McShane, Dallas Moore, Theo Davis, Lewis Webb, Will Fordham, Ian Gayle, Lewis Hilliard, Junior Kanudu (Micky Hyem), Stefan Moore, Shane Tolley (Kieran Davies), Dan Jacob.
Newport Pagnell; James Broadbent, Scott Mulkern (Dean Buss), Keith Williams, John Thorpe, Rob Tapp, Sean McBride, Daren dykes, Matt Broomes (Jordan Spruce), Vinny Shrieves (Daniel Nti), Darren Lynch, Liam Smyth.
