Premier Division Newport Pagnell Town 3 Northampton Spencer 0 Saturday, 30 April 2011 Manager Terry Shrieves brought the curtain down on his six year Newport reign with a home win over mid table Spencer. Ex-Miller Lewis Wilson made the breakthrough for the Swans with two minutes of the first half remaining from an excellent move involving Vinny Shrieves and Leiws. Vinny recieved a pass from dykes, Vinny then threaded the ball through the SPencer Defence to Lewis who hit first time, slotting the ball under the keeper to put the Swans one up. dykes almost scored his 43 goal of the season when his curling shot eluded the Spencer keeper but he saw his shot hit the post and bounce back out. Fittingly it was the manager's son Vinny who sealed Newport's win with goals after 55 and 80 minutes. The first came when he recieved a pass and chraged down the left. His neatly curling finish found it way into the far side of the net. The Second Vinny pounced on a rebound to make sure that the game was well and truely wrapped up. Well played in Terry's final game in Charge. We all wish him the best for the future. Newport: Paul Warnecki, Scott Mulkern (Rob Tapp), Lewis Wilson, John Thorpe, Keith Williams, Sean McBride, Daren dykes, Matt Broomes, Vinny Shrieves, Darren Lynch, Steve Brooks. On a Positive note Daren dykes finished top goal scorer in the UCL Prem after Tolley failed to score for St Neots in their 1-1 draw at Long Buckby. dykes finishes the season on 42 goals and Tolley has 39 goals. Well done Daren, the golden boot is yours.
