All,
The Lions were back in league action, but sadly not back to winning ways, in a tight game the Lions were undone by just the one goal, to which might not have even crossed the line !!, anyway thats MK City Tigers out of the way now, good luck to Stuart and the boys who will surly be competing for the league title once again.

Match report – MK City tigers 1 – 0 Newport Lions
Hello everyone, Jo and Jane said the post – match Ham sarnie from the clubhouse was of a more than acceptable standard and even better Crump has put a bog roll in the ladies this week which is just great news but when this becomes the post match talking point then you know it was a pretty painful game to watch.
This then will be a short match report, in fact I will finish with the summary as recorded by Father Christmas, AKA- Andy Clayton. “It wasn’t great , in fact it was all over the place, scrappy and shapeless with lots of possession given away, but you know for all that we could have won it.” Thanks Andy – an inciseful and indeed considered approach to the subject matter unlike the response from our revered lino, Jeremiah Cunningham, who when asked for a summary replied “Jaker’s, I waved my flag”.
As you can tell I am just waffling a load of old pants at the moment when in truth the lads and the MADS deserve better from me, In fact the guys put in a tremendous amount of effort, taking control of the match in the latter stages of the first half which culminated in an excellent headed goal from Charlie “Chazzer” Tofield only for it to be classified as offside by the excellent ref. In the second half we lost our way a bit and the Tigers got on top but still all of the guys gave their best and although we had limited chances to score their heads didn’t drop, the discipline was retained and the guys walked off with pride intact. Special note to those on the bench today who didn't get on today, well done lads, your patience and support are appreciated.
So that was that – we can compete with the very best in the league and have taken points of them – the lads know this and all are confident that we will do better next week.
Finally - I understand Sir Alex Ferguson has named his best ever 11 compiled from his reign of over 25 years, he settled on a 4-4-2 layout comprising Howard Web, Mark Klatenberg, Dermot Gallagher, Sian Massey, etc etc.!! if you want to ring him and discuss this then there is a helpline - the No is 616161.
I would like to complete this report with some goodbyes to some lovely kids and parents – so to the explosive Alex “TNT” Tucker and equally superb Charlie “Peanuts” Brown and his dad “Coach Owen” who for various reasons have called it a day – you and your parents will be much missed at the games so, a big "Best wishes" from all of us!!
Cheers
