Spalding Utd 4 - 1 Newport Pagnell - UCL Prem. 2/3/13.
Despite the Swans dominating the much of the game, they eventually went on to loose 4-1 away at Spalding Utd. This was always going to be a tough game without Daren dykes, Captain Thorpe and and Dean Buss.
Spalding completed a double over Newport who are yet to record a win at the Halley Stewart Field.
The Swans started brightly but failed to produce a cutting edge, and two goals in two minutes gave the Tulips the initiative.
Defender Jay Smedley made the 21st minute breakthrough for Spalding and two minutes later they extended the advantage, Gary King converting from the spot.
Dan Cotton headed in a Tyrone Kirk cross ten minutes before half time to all but seal the win.
Newport again started the second half well and pulled a goal back through Jared Cunniff on the hour.
Cotton sealed Spalding's latest success with thirteen minutes to play.
