A last gasp equaliser from Matty Cullis saw the Lions grasp a point from a game they were always second best in! Olney were the better side throughout, and fought hard for every ball, and took the lead midway through the first half after a free kick rebounded from the Newport post, an Olney player was the first to react and buried it from 2 yards out. We struggled with our game, almost nothing worked. One big positive was John-Reece's goal keeping, and a late one handed save kept his team in the game, well done today John. As the game drew to a close and all the 3 points looked like they were going up the road, and the first loss for the Lions this season, we found ourselves with a late corner, Keigh floated another great ball over, Olney cleared only as far as the edge of their box, where Matty got hold of it, and fired home for the draw. Not a good day for us, credit to Olney. Away in the league to Brookfield next week, but we'll need to be a lot better than this.
