Premier Division Stewarts & Lloyds Corby 1 - 0 Newport Pagnell TownSaturday, 02 February 2008After 9 goals in two games it was a surprise to see the Swans go home goalless. The only goal came 6 minutes in when Bobby Drain scored in the 6th minute. With pressure from the Swans on the SL goal and despite having the down hill advantage Newport failed to score. Stuart Dorrell pulled of a great save on the stroke of half time to keep the score down to 1-0. Half time and a nice cup of tea loomed. HT 1-0With the wind against the Swans, the second half proved to be an up hill struggle. Literally! Drew and Rob coming close producing a couple of saves out of the SL keeper. But with SL's long throws and long balls, Newport were stretched an unable to get forward at times. Newport did manage to push forward but SL Corby held on for the win. I think a draw would of been a fairer reflection on Newport Pagnell and were a little unlucky at times. A very good price to get in. £3 including programme makes SL Corby the cheapest team in the UCL Prem. The ground is a bit to open for my liking, no where to shelter from the cold north wind! Full Time 1-0
